If you are at home on your laptop it makes little difference, as the
privacy of your LAN is determined by the settings in the router for your
LAN. You know who is on you home network.
If you would go to a LAN outside of your home in an area you do not
consider safe. Click Notifications; ( the Square on the left corner of
your screen)
Click Network; (If you do not have Network in the Notifications,
Setting, System, Notifications and Actions, and add Network to
Notifications.)
Click the network you are connected;
Click Properties for this network.
Click the option you want for that network.
