You could also turn on the Windows XP Firewall to kill these as well (SP2
will also turn it on).

If I have a router (NetGear) should I still turn on the FireWall in XP (I'm
using XP PRO SP1)?

I was told the router is a firewall and turning on the Windows Firewall
would disable the network.
