Hi, I would like to know if there is an update to my audio driver that
might improve the quality of my sound output or add an equalizer
function at the system level.
Here are my particulars:
Via AC '97 Audio Controller (WDM)
Via Technologies Inc.
Date 9-1-2001.
If anybody knows, tx for the tip.

OK, first understand that a) not everyone who wants to help you has MS
Word installed (I don't); b) opening an attachment from a newsgroup on
a Windows machine would be stupid. I'm sure you mean well, but you're
not going to get good answers this way.

There are a few places you can look for updates to your audio:

1) If you have an OEM machine (Dell, HP, Compaq, etc.) look on their
website for downloads for your particular computer model.

2) If this is a home-built or generic computer and you know your
motherboard mftr., you can look on their site.

3) Google for "Via AC '97 Audio drivers" and get about 223,000 links.

HTH,

Malke
