Suffice to way, if you used WinXP and were used to
opening N windows there, the new Windows 8/8.1/9 will
still allow N desktop windows to be opened in Desktop mode.
It means you will always have one mode, that looks like
your old OS, when it comes to opening of windows.

That's what I was hoping (and expected...) to hear.
