I had Nvidea Banshee 3dfx equivalent, was a great graphics for 3d games in
1999. Lost it somewhere.

But that is only a vague rumour, and is most unlikely to happen.
Microsoft would never prevent most of their users (which Windows 7 users
will be for a long time yet) playing new games, since they sell games
themselves they would be "cutting off their nose to spite their face",
as they say.


But haven't they already failed to provide DirectX 11.1 for Windows 7?
