some evidence it's being seen.


If the drive didn't have power, that would exhibit
the same symptoms. The power cable might not be
plugged in.


Since those adapters sometimes fail (usually the wall
adapter), testing with an "expendable" Windows drive
to see if it still appears, would prove the hardware
works.
