| I am having problems trying to use a smart card based certificate to log onto

| The system shows the following error in the event log:
| Category: none
| Type: Error
| Event ID: 5
| Description: An error occurred while retrieving a digital certificate from
| the inserted smart card. The parameter is incorrect.

| The infrastructure and card are ok as this works under Windows 2000 SP4.

| Anyone have any experience as to why this happening and how to solve.
