When using windows ten on my hp notebook, which is new, it won’t

This only started the last few days.
Thanks for any help.

Make sure the file associations in Windows and in Firefox are set to
your PDF reader.

I have been using Firefox on Windows 10 since it came out and Firefox
since the Netscape days.Â*Â* While in recent version Firefox handle PDF
files and Adobe Reader differently I can still click on a PDF link
and have the PDF file open.

. I downloaded Adobe flash but still can’t open a pdf file with
Firefox. Is
Adobe reader a different program?

Acrobat Reader opens PDF files for viewing.

Firefox 56 opened a PDF in its own internal viewer (no plugin).

MSEdge opens a PDF, when you bind the PDF option to "TwinUI".
And Firefox is forced to hand off to MSEdge when you select
that setting.

Here, I've returned control to Firefox viewing the PDF itself.

There is some thing else involved in making PDF open in Firefox.

I checked my applications and I do not have a application
entry

Portable Document Format

Even though I have several entries for Adobe Reader.
