I Am Running Win2K Server and get the same error. So, I believe it has to do
with Media Center but MS has not been able to figure it out yet.

I was using AC adapter at that time.

Maybe it wasn't connected properly, or it's not working, or there was a
brief power failure, or...

Try removing the battery so that you're only using AC power and then try
again.
