Why can't I post to this newsgroup?

Here's why: I'm on what should be a clone of my main system. I tried to
post to this same newsgroup on my main system and I got a message
something like "You are not authorized to post to this newsgroup).
Yet on this supposedly identical system, it works. Can somebody lead me to
what I can test and compare and correct?? Thank you.
