Default What happened??

I thought Google Groups was the only USENET client that could make
an abortion out of a post.

Similar happens with Windows Live Mail?

My problems with Windows 8 continue. I though I had everything working
just fine -Could print to a network printer, I could share files with my
main system and then - I downloaded the latest 13 updates for the OS
from Microsoft. On restart I got some gobbled message about updating
some name that I do not know, passed that and then finally booted up.
However, the tile for Windows Explorer was missing from the Metro
window. If I shift to the desktop mode the Windows Explorer icon that
was in the Task strip is missing and Windows Explorer does not show in
the list of programs.

I am considering doing a system reset to the last known good time but
thought I might get some guidance before doing so.

Any thoughts?

Also note, in addition to Paul's response, the color of the tile may have changed if another browser was installed.

Look on the All Apps screen, if present just right click and Pin to Start.

A restart after a Windows Update normally does not indicate what is being updating but usually provides a message that Windows is
being configured, a percent completion, and a message to not turn off the computer.

Regarding 'Windows Explorer doesn't show in list of programs'
- are you referring to it not being present in Programs and Features ?
