Thanks Philo
I used to have bluetooth working ok. I could switch on the switch on the
front of the laptop (Asus)and then use the Fn + F2 buttons to change
between Bluetooth and or Wi Fi.
The switch seems to have stopped working because the green light for the
Wi Fi stays on, but after having said that when I switch off I do loose
the Wi Fi signal. Regards the bluetooth this has stopped working. I have
uninstalled the Toshiba bluetooth stack and I have tried to reinstall
from the cd which came with the laptop. I am unable to reinstall because
the driver will not load due to the bluetooth not being switched on. How
can I switch the bluetooth on???
Any help would be appreciated.

The first thing I'd do is perform a system restore
and set the machine back to a date where you knew it was working.

If you don't know how to perform a system restore
it's ocvered in Windows help

Or Google for instructions
