I can only recommend that you try using the "DOS syntax" in the "Find Files
& Folders" Window's utility.... Thus :

In the search for files box, type ;


*museum*


....or ;


*museum*.*


....hopefully you will have more luck with this.

Also, double-check the your search-options - that you are conducting the
search from the "root" of the appropriate drive [c:] and that "search
sub-folders" box is checkmarked..

It's rather difficult for me to suggest more than that as this group is
really meant for questions and discussion on Windows XP and you are using
Win7.

Actually, I see tabs marked All, Answered and Unanswered. I'm using All
now and it has several column headers: Sort: Helpful, Replies, View,

Ah, London. I was there around Nov. 28 for a week. Lovely weather! Cold
and snow. Fortunately, my plane was not delayed home.

Maybe you know the answer to my question. I have a file called
MuseumTelescope.docx. It's in a folder with a bunch of similar docs. If I
type into Start-Search Museum, it is not found. Neither are museum and
*museum*. If I go to Library-Documents and conduct a search, I get the
same result, yet is really on my C-drive and in ... Same results if I
used file: ... The above doc is in C:/ForSale. Index problem?
