Default Logoff Script for Reminder Message

Our company runs Windows XP. I want to write a simple script that will
remind me at logoff about completing my timecard. I've gotten that far on my
own, wrote a simple .JS and plugged it in via the Group Policy Editor. But
the message displays after the logoff is already in progress, and if I
HAVEN'T done my timecard, I'd like a "Cancel" button or similar that will
stop the logoff. Can anyone guide me?
