To prevent Window 10 v2004 Cortana from starting up at boot:
(1) Control+Shift+Escape will open up the Windows Task Manager
(2) Click the "Startup" tab & then right-click on "Cortana"
(3) Select "Disable" from the available options

To delete the Windows 10 v2004 Cortana app:
(1) Win+R powershell{control+shift+enter} == opens as administrator
(2) Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.549981C3F5F10 | Remove-AppxPackage

To stop showing of the now-dead Cortana button in the Windows taskbar:
(1) Right-click on the Windows taskbar
(2) Uncheck the "Show Cortana button" option
