Default Microsoft Gives MVP Award to Adware Pusher

Adware is a computer security concern, and it is questionable why
Microsoft
gave an MVP title to this person...

This really has nothing whatsoever to due with security,
which is the proper topic for posts to the massive list of
newsgroups you selected.

Please attempt to stay on-topic, and to xpost only
when (and where) appropriate.

FollowUp-To ignored. Newsgroups reinstated. Since that's where the
OP decided his post was proper, that is where reader's of THOSE groups
should be able to see replies to his post that he spewed all over the
place.

microsoft.public.security
obviates having to xpost to subgroups, like:
microsoft.public.security.homeusers.

If you post to the parent group, don't also xpost to the child groups.
Once you add to a node in the tree, don't go spewing into subnodes.

An anonymous user writes. We care about someone that hides? You
believe every journalist? Could be he's right, maybe not. Rather
than rely on some post by an anonymous user claiming someone else said
something, why didn't you provide the URL to the professed article.
The anonymous post says, "From the article" but then provides no proof
that such an article exists.

Slashdot? Geez, get real. User-submitted "news" that isn't qualified
or provable nor even bothers to attempt to identify the source. Uh
huh. Slashdot is reknown for its haphazard editorial style.
Slashdot's "news" is always suspect simply because of the source,
especially those that don't even bother to qualify or provide
references.

Users shouldn't have to go Google for the source and hope to find it.
