In passing, I ran malwarebytes yesterday and
it had 55 threats! I had not seen these before!
I quarantined them all and then deleted them. Ten
ran mawarebytes again which came up clean. Could
this be part of the problem and why my F8 no longer
functions?

So it did find a PUP ? (I can see it in the first picture.)

The second picture says "WinYahoo" and "ByteFence".

ByteFence is a "pretend" anti-malware that puts up fake
warnings about malware. And one hit in Google mentions
it does URL redirection.

And WinYahoo does redirection too. WinYahoo has nothing
to do with Yahoo. It just borrows the name.
