Default Poor old Linux...

So, one
wonders what your motives are?

I have no motives other than killing time until I decide
to do something IRL that's far more fulfilling.

Right now I'm contemplating going out and working on the
1965 Chevy Van in my driveway....(To be more accurate,
working on building the motor that goes inside the 1965
Chevy van in my driveway.)

Fair enough. Nice to see a tradesman-type person tinkering
around with his van engine just like Linux geeks like to
tinker with their O/S. I like doing something useful with
my time like going to the theatre, concert or opera.

Well...the work on the van is far more than 'tinkering'. It's
more like completely rebuilding. The engine is brand new and
half assembled. The body's got a good 100 hours or more of body
work I will need to do. It's pretty rough, but solid, if that
makes sense. The reason I bought this one was it was cheap, it
was complete....all glass, light lenses, etc., those small parts
that might be hard to find for a 40+ YO vehicle, and it was
local. Old vehicles are hard to come by in NY. I just saw Ford
Maverick on the road last week. I think the last time I saw a
Maverick actually going down the road here was ten years ago.
