Default Creating a second partition

Not true. Though the risk exists, it is not "high." I have created, deleted,
resized, and moved numerous partitions on many computers with Partition Magic,
and have not lost data once. Of all my friends and colleagues who use PM, I
have not heard of one case of data loss.

One way to decrease the risk of data loss (besides the obvious one of backing up
your data) is to run ChkDsk and defragment the drive before starting the
repartitioning (or any other major computer surgery).
