What I want to do is save the entire file tree as a text file.

lol, on my disk it's a text file 45,500 lines long

Yes, I was going to suggest DIR as well. But I think he wants only the
tree, not the files. (Or do you have 20k-odd directories?)

I have a free program that I downloaded, and it runs in Win98 and XP.
It's called "Karen's Directory Printer". It does a pretty good job of
turning filenames into a text file. But it makes a long file that needs
a lot of scrolling to read. I just wanted the FOLDER TREE, so I can
create all the folders that I need.

This program allows more or less detail. I can accept or decline things
like file date, dile size, etc, but it wont just create a folder only
tree txt file.
