As the OP I did more digging. I can't seem to add anything to
bookmark folders that are 3 folders deep or deeper. So I'm assuming
that FF57 doesn't support folders deeper than 2. That would be
totally unacceptable for me.

I am using 5 folders deep in FF57 and can add new url's to them.


Well, your paths could be different lengths, and maybe
Firefox has a maximum string length or something for the
entire assembled path.
