I think the 26 MB version is the one Paul is talking
about. I also downloaded it out of curiosity. I also find
no .Net-dependent files in the package. As Paul said,
you might try installing through the .inf file. You could
then run the MSI, which *I think* will give you just
the applet for managing the printer. But I don't know
whether either of those things will work.


It would probably take me many tries, to get a recipe
like that exactly right.

I think I'd try the INF install method, but after
changing the .NET setting in the last line. As
the .NET shouldn't be needed, except as a means to
support the "cruft" components.

I would also need to do more research on that "Ink Monitor"
executable. I don't know if the presence of that thing,
is a "plus" or a "minus". I do know that some inkjets
like to clean the heads a lot, as a means to pump all
the ink out of the cartridge. My own printer, I remove
power as soon as the print job is finished.
