works for me, too! That, and FreeBSD

Windows is also a money hog, just trying to get your money, whichever
way it can.

often by spying on you, or shoving ads in your face

It was interesting to see how it's changed, and also how it's not much
different than win xp. I can't see anything special about it.

I no longer see adverts for Office.

And there are some options you can use in Settings
to control some of the other things.

But nobody removes the "free games" and I know there's
still some Flappy Birds I didn't particularly want, on the
hard drive. That habit hasn't changed. Something that
really irritated me, was when some sort of Disney Corporation
content was placed on the hard drive. Holds up clove
of garlic and an upside-down cross to make it go away.
I don't play Whack-A-Mole with that stuff, because
that would be admitting they've won. As long as it stays
hidden, and doesn't appear as a Tile on the screen, it's... OK.

If they're spying on me... they're doing a good job. There's
always a pizza truck with antennas on top, parked out on the
street in front of the house. It's nice being able to walk
across the lawn and order an extra large pepperoni. And watch as
the truck drives off to pick it up.

And it's different than WinXP, because they've hidden the
Control Panels so people won't find them :-) Hows that
for an improvement ? Typing "control" in the Run box,
will pop it up for you. See how friendly ?

And if you open Settings, open Windows Update and click
the "check for updates" button, you're classed as a "Seeker".
Heaven help us for what other names they have for us.
Rather than spying, they've probably got a psych profile
for each person using the product ("habitual defragmenter
and CCleaner user").
