I have my main machine (host OS: Xubuntu) set up with 4 desktops (and
desktop switcher in the panel). It makes it easy to use multiple
programs without getting them confused.

I've used the multiple desktops option on my Mac for years! The first
year or so, I didn't understand the concept, but now I won't have a
system where the multiple desktops are not an option.

On my W7 machine, I've got Dexpot installed. I've heard Dexpot hasn't
been updated for some time, I hope that's not true. I won't be making
W10 my main Windows system.

This is off topic, but most of the live distros I've looked at just have
the 4 desktops icon on the taskbar. Does Linux limit you to 4, or can
you add more? I never seem to find the time to play with Linux and
really get into it.
