So far I would say that everyone is or must be running Avast just
because no one has mentioned anything different as per my first question.

Panda Cloud (no pop-ups - no nags), Avira, AVG, Bitdefender all free,
all very good.

And the older Avast interface that looked like a car stereo head unit
sucked.
