I do agree you should have an antivirus, antispyware, or
HIPS, firewall and or blabidi blabiba, but every one forgot
to mention about hijackers.Guys tell me this does any of
the tools like anitvirus has full protection against
hijackers. I don't believe so, and in this case it very
much seems like the dns has been hijacked so use a rootkit
or tools like combofix, or hijacker(OK effectiveness)

Any other Questions email me...

I have a pc where windows xp home edition boots okay, the
icons all load with good speed except for the network
icon. It takes a long time to load and this is not right.
When I start the pc the icons at the bottom right hand
corner load nice and quick, and then the machine just
stops and sits there for a couple of minutes doing
nothing, then the hard drive starts whirring again and the
network icon comes up and then I can surf the internet.
Does anyone know the solution to this? the network icon
should come up much faster. I've tried two different
network hardware devices but it's the same with both. I've
also noticed if I go to Control Panel/Network Connections
I get the hour glass for about half a minute before the
network windows comes up.
thanks for any advice.

This sounds more like refreshing the icon cache would take care of it.
Search Google for " xp refresh icon cache" and choose your solution. IT's
not an uncommon problem.
