I'll never say that a clean install won't give a performance boost -
but I definitely cannot say it is the BEST way to install SP2 -
especially for everyone.

Well, there's a difference between you working the networks to keep
desktops up to par, and one who has a personal PC for their own use.
For me, doing it this way worked just fine. But, I'll admit the
average person cannot do what I do, since I can build from the bottom
up (hardware and software) if I needed. So the time for me is very
short for a complete setup, since I know what I need to get back up
completely.

Too bad many don't learn just a bit more about running their PCs.

Agreed, but I don't see it happening. I work for some really intelligent
people who will never learn to use the computer beyond the limited need they
have for it. Some others, if they had the desire, could probably take my
job. *grin*

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.
