Default How to edit Android screen recording to remove WiFi MAC address & SSID?

He who is Paul said on Thu, 28 Sep 2017 04:26:07 -0400:

"blur face in video android"

"fastest way to redact video"

I could do the whole job using FFMPEG and netpbm suite
(if the area to be blurred is static), but I don't think
anyone wants to hear about it :-) Just search until you
find a modern method.

If a movie editor didn't have such a blur function, you
could do Picture In Picture (PIP), and lay a "blank movie" on
top of the original movie. Then render out.

Googling is *almost never* the best way to find the best freeware.

Googling is only useful when *every* review says the same thing.
Which almost never happens. Hence Google is one of the *worst* ways to find
the best free software. At least Google alone is.

The cost of freeware is in the extensive *testing* that is required to find
the best ones.

*Testing* each one without an advertising goal is the best way, but that's
expensive in terms of time (but is often needed because most people don't
understand such questions).

However, the best method overall is *finding someone* who isn't trying to
sell something who knows the answer because *they* have tested the software
for the specified task.

Sort of like if you asked me which is the better free FTP program, I'd know
that FileZilla kicks WinSCPs butt. That isn't going to happen in most
advertising-supported reviews of software that you find on Google.

Or, more to the point, if you asked me which is the best arrowing freeware,
bar none (since I've tried them all), and that's Paint.NET (despite the
need for .NET which sucks). If you asked the fastest cropping program, I'd
tell you it's Irfanview. If you asked the best face smudger, I'd say it's
Vicman photo editor (if you can still find an old version).

An then there are always the inevitable freeware gotchas, e.g., watermarks,
size limitations, time limitations, registration issues, privacy issues,
etc., that only someone who isn't being paid (somehow) to make a review
will mention honestly.

Almost none of that would *ever* be found by a billion years of googling.

I'm seeking the canonical Windows 10 freeware video editor of MP4 files
that can blank out areas of the video, where the MP4 file simply originated
on Android which is mentioned because of the file format sometimes matters.

If the suggestion is to "just google", I have to point out that googling
almost never gets you the best common tool simply because the output from
Google is highly polluted.

Since the cost of freeware is the effort it requires to test each one to
find the best, what is needed is not yet another commercial review, all of
which suffer from temporal, advertising, and test bias.

What is needed is someone with experience video editing to answer the
question who isn't trying to sell something.

For example, these guys are all trying to sell something:

And the list goes on and on.

While Googling is *almost never* the best way to find the best freeware,
what Google sometimes does, in the absence of any experts in the field, is
let you know which top five or ten free programs to *test*.

But *testing* I can always do, and I do test *many* freeware programs,
where I know the best free photo editors for certain things, the best audio
editors for certain things, the best Usenet client for certain things, the
best IMG extactor, the best encryption container, the best video converter,
the best codec pack, etc.

All I'm asking here is for someone who has done the testing, what they feel
the best free Windows 10 video editor is for cropping out information.

I've found the best freeware a billion times, where I know Googling is
almost never the best approach. The best approach is to find someone who
has done the tests who isn't trying to sell you something. The only other
reliable approach is to be that person yourself.

Those are the only two viable options.
I'm asking here for the first.

Has anyone on this ng used a freeware video editor to crop areas out?
What did you use and do you recommend it?
