VirtualDUB. Worked for me.

Thanks for that suggestion of VirtualDub because if you've done the task,
then that drops out dozens of failed freeware tests right off the bat!

Freeware isn't free.
The cost of freeware is knowledge.
The knowledge is gained at the expense of time & effort.

So I appreciate that you put in time and effort in the past, with
VirtualDub freeware, so I will check that out when I get home later today.

Googling for the canonical location, I find this:
http://virtualdub.org/
https://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualdub/

With freeware, first inspections of the web pages are extremely telling,
where Virtual Dub passes the quick inspection - so that's good to start.

and FileZilla no way kicks WinSCPs butt.

I've used *all* the free FTP servers on Android and *many* of the free FTP
clients on Windows. In fact, WinSCP used to be my favorite FTP client on
Windows, after I gave up with just using the native Windows File Explorer
using the URL style below (from memory):

Here is a picture of my extremely well organized Windows start menu:

Notice that I only use freeware, and I only use the absolute *best*
freeware, and that I myself have chosen as the best just two programs:
1. FileZilla
2. WinSCP

It turns out after testing FTP clients for about three years (ever since my
microUSB port broke on my Android phone), that WinSCP and FileZilla are the
best - but I like FileZilla far better than I liked WinSCP.

If this thread were about FTP clients, I would delve deeper into the whys
with you; but I don't want to hijack my own thread since what I'm seeking
is the answer to a quick redaction question.

I ask only for suggestions from those who have performed the task
themselves.

If VirtualDub is the way to go, that's what I'll test.
