EaseUs ToDo is quite competent when it comes to disk / partition imaging as well
as file and folder(s) backup. Additionally, it also mounts images to enable the
extraction of individual files.


Question: In places it says the Ease ToDo is free and other places it
says that it is a trial version.

Free is good if you can use it as long as it is needed. Trail version
is bad if a month before you have to recover your hard dive the trail
expires.
