Default IMAPI Error: "There is no disk in the drive"

Use your Roxio software exclusively and disable the inbuilt XP burning
capabilities.. To do this set the IMAPI CD burning service to manual, make
sure on the recording tab in the optical drives properties, in My Computer,
that the box is indeed unchecked for "enable CD recording on this drive"..
Using both can cause (exclusive lock) instability issues.. If your ver of
Roxio came installed on your computer, might check the computers OEM site,
for updates, patches or optical drive firmware that may apply.. If it is a
retail version then check with Roxio here..

Hello:

Why do I get always this error:
"There is no disk in the drive"
when trying to burn files to a CDR/CDRW , using explorer cd tasks?
Off course I do have a cd in the drive. IMAPI service is set to automatic.
My system has a win xp pro sp2, 1Gb RAM, sony CD/DVD burner.
My burning software is roxio digital media se, and it works fine. The
problem with IMAPI started suddenly... I didn't realize what could have
caused it, because it used to work fine earlier.
