This may sound like a silly question but what color is the data side of the
DVD?
Some DVD players will not recognize a colored DVD.
One of my laptop's, for instance, can't burn to black CDR's.
I don't think the machine is racist or it will be gone.

I have a problem with one of my DVD's, the problem is that my DVD Player
shows that my DVD is not inserted when it is. When I try to play the dvd
nothing happens and a window pops up asking to insert the disc, I can play
other dvd's but not this one. When I put the dvd into the home dvd player
it
works, but not in my computer. I am running Windows Home XP SP2, all
updates
are installed through windows update. It used to work on my computer.

XP is the operating system. Now you must
reinstall the drivers, codecs, applications etc.
