I just updated my HP Pavilion to Windows 8.1 and like it very much. I
would like to update my MS Office Home and Business to the latest
version but I want a box copy. I can't find a box copy in any local
stores. Is MS Office available only on those download cards with the
code number on it? If I buy one of these, then for some reason, later,
have to reinstall MS Office can I use the card again? For how long?

Thanks, Gordon

Save yourself some money, use:

LibreOffice: https://www.libreoffice.org/

OpenOffice: https://www.openoffice.org/

or any other free office Suite:

They all do the same as Ms-Office and the are free.

There are other established mainstream Office Suits available.

While I do not use it IBM Lotus Symphony is still available, free, and
being maintained

Personally I use Corel WordPerfect suite with wordprocessor,
spreadsheet, and a presentation.

It is significantly less than MS Word and if you watch you can get great
deals on the Student/Home edition which can be installed on up to 3
computers. If you watch you can get the full version for about $150,
depending on the deal you find.
