I understood that, and MP may not be the problem,
but music players are like browsers. Companies that
make them tend to be competitive. I wouldn't be
surprised if MS snubbed formats they don't handle.
They like to take the same approach with MP that
they do with IE: Build it in, make it unremovable, and
pretend it's part of the OS.




Snubbed as in refuse to load sure, but, umm, not intentionally cause
the OS itself to pretend it doesn't see files based on extension alone,
no. Normally you're smarter than this.
