Almost sounds like you're saying that you read it on the Internet so
it must be true. ;-) IMO it means the person who wrote it feels "the
Internet" is a blob, a cloud, a thing that comes into the house like
cable TV. "The Internet" is what's at the other end of that big phone
cable coming out of the wall.

Kinda true for explanations to non-tech people, but not true at all
if you know what's actually out there.

I was trying to find something simple to show the simpleton I was responding
to but he is beyond hope. He has been embarrassing himself and by now would
never admit he has been wrong.

You are the only person being embarrassed, you keep claiming that the
network is MEDIA and can't seem to grasp that the NETWORK is a media
transport layer, it holds NO MEDIA itself. The Servers HOLD THE MEDIA,
but the servers are not actually MEDIA either.
