Default Windows Live Mail

To start with I found the lack of XP-type bold (unread) posts very annoying.
The poster's name is still bold, but the post itself looks very skinny, a
sort of 'half-bold' :-)
But, as with most things, I got used to it.
I no longer look at the message, but at the name under From, to fsee if
there is a new post.

Of course you can also go to ViewShow/HideHide read messages, then you'll
only see the new ones.
You might be using this without knowing it, which would account for the
missing names of original authors

WLM isn't too bad, I tried Thunderbird, but we never became friends.

Since using windows 7 I have been forced to download and use Windows Live
Mail as an alternative to Outlook Express, after a lot of tinkering around
I've managed to get it somewhere near as usable as my original Mail/News
client.. however when using 'News' the headers are now no longer in bold
type to let me know that there are 'new unread' messages still in the
unexpanded thread, also annoyingly the name of the author of the original
topic or replies no longer appear in the 'from' column, and try as I might
I can't find a way of activating this feature.. if these two problems are
solvable I would be more than appreciative TIA Ivan.
