Default Google Chrome Begins Syncing All Browser Data to Your Identity Without Asking

Problem solved as long as you don't care
about privacy. Logging you into an account probably
only slightly simplifies Google's ability to follow you
around online. So your statement would better
read, "If you want privacy, start by not using Chrome
or any other Google product".

On the other hand, anyone who uses Chrome and
gmail, and possibly other Google products, will likely
lose nothing by being logged into their account. At this
point, either they don't care about privacy or they
just don't want to know.
