Either way, I dont see any further thing I can do. Replacing the
motherboard is NOT an option considering the cost and I doubt I'd even

For what it's worth, on the one I repaired by replacing the little
socket-to-header lead, I _didn't_ remove the motherboard, though it
might have been easier if I had (-:
