Default Disk drive drivers?

Char. not necessarily a problem. It is just that so many times over the
years I have heard not to use Microsoft drivers and also I am trying to

question is still would I look for disk drive drivers or would I look
for chipset drivers or storage drivers? or does one set cover all 3? I
would definitely assume that a new 120gig ssd that is 70% clear would
score higher than a 7.2 and the secondary 40gig ssd at least the same.

Actually, the Microsoft drivers are the most stable ones, I'd worry if
you were using non-Microsoft drivers for your disk drives. The disk
drives are all just IDE or SATA, it doesn't matter if they are SSD's or
HDD's below the surface, they conform to the same interface standards,
that's why the same Microsoft drivers work over on all of them.

And I'd consider getting a Windows Experience Index of 7.2 out of 7.9 as
an amazing performance number. How much more were you expecting to get?
Normal old HDD's only get 5.9 out of 7.9.
