Why are you chaning the net dde services, just change the Windows Firewall
service to Automatic and leave the rest alone.
PS: On my machine the net dde services are disabled, but I'm not sure
that is the default

In the (Control Panel - Administrative Tools - ) Services wizard,
Properties for
the service in question - Startup type is just above Service status, on

General tab.
