Default STOP error on startup

I'm afraid that you will need some sort of disk or CD to possibly work
around the stop error.
You may not need to reinstall, just boot from the CD, and use its capability
to access the HD.

Your dealer or OEM for the computer should be able to solve your problem,
and provide you with a CD.
If it's a small time dealer of custom PC's there is a possibility that the
installation is not kosher.

It's remotely possible that the stop error is due to a sigificant hardware
failure. What is the stop error code if any?

I'm running XP Media Center. When the computer tries to startup it gets a
STOP error. I know where the problem is, but I cannot get the it to start

in
safe mode, normal mode, or last known good configuration. It just goes to

the
blue screen and stops. Everything I've read says to reinstall from the XP
disk but Windows was installed on the computer when I bought it and they
didn't send a disk with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
