| Doing Ctrl+Alt+LeftShift didn't work and neither did altering the
| display. Here's what's happening:

| If I move the mouse cursor with the mouse it works, if I move it with
| the numeric keypad with NumLock OFF it works, but if I use the arrow keys
it
| has the same effect as if I was using the arrow keys while holding down
the
| shift key. There's probably a bug in the latest NTVDM update that affects
| EDIT.COM.

| What I'm going to try is to restore my system and install each of the
| newer MS Updates and test after each one separately to narrow down exactly
| which one is messing things up (and NOT install it); but that's going to
| take some time and it'll probably have to wait until the weekend.
