I cannot get beyond step 4 as I do not have any reference to 'Generate
App-Specific Passwords' on the Manage ID page:



Correct. 5. Generate App-Specific Passwords may not be an option...

Why?
The App-Specific Password option is ***only*** available after you enable
Two-Factor Authentication on your Apple device
(e.g. iPhone/Settings/your Username for Apple icloud/iTunes Apple store
acct/Password and Security)
