previous post, even splitting them doesn't help. The error continually
says
not enough space in the directory I'm trying to save in (which is my
desktop
or videos folder and my drive has 30gb free space on it)...

OK, post the exact wording of the error message.

as well as the
files are not found (except that they are not lost...no red X's) and play
on
the timeline just fine.

Open WMM
Click Tools/Options
The Options dialog appears, click the "Compatibility" tab.
Try process of elimination, but first look down the list for any
that have been deselected/Unticked, If found then place ticks
then close dialog and try.
But If none deselected, then click the "Restore All Defaults" button.
Then close dialog, reopen WMM and try.
If that dosen't work, reopen dialog and go thru process of elimination
disabling each and re-trying.
