Default How to rename a network shared folder name (without full remove and re-creation)?

Assume I define a new sharing for an existing folder D:\work\ with
a sharing name "sharemywork".

Now a couple of weeks later I decide to rename the share name to
lets say "shareprojects123".

Ok, I could completely remove the sharing info and
re-create/re-define it again with a different name in Fodlers
Properties-Sharing tab

But this would be very user unfriendly.

Is there another, smarted way to just rename the sharing name and
leave everything else in place?

I don't know if this will work, but I don't see any reason it
shouldn't...

Right-click on "My Computer" - Manage
Then find "System Tools \ Shared Folders \ Shares
Then find your share in the right window, right-click on it, then
"Properties"
In the "General" tab, change the name that appears in the
"Share Name" box then "OK" your way out.

HTH,
John
