OT Harware?

I have a USB hotspot, previous generation, only $10, that is meant to be
plugged into the USB port on a computer.

Do you think it would work if just plugged into a charger?

It's hard for me to test because I'd have to take the voice/data sim out
of my phone to use that sim. And fTM, can I use voice/data, or does it
have to be data-only?

I tried to test this thing when I was in Europe but the computer wanted
a coupld numbers and I didn't prepare and didn't know what they were. I
also don't know, Had I entered them, wouuld they have stayed there to
allow me to run off of a charger, or were they to be stored in the
laptop?


There are battery powered hotspots that dont' require a computer, so
maybe mine doesn't either.
