gas (not unless you have a very large tank). g

Here in the USA, a tank of gas for my car (a Toyota Corolla) typically
costs me around $40.

But an OT question for you. You wrote "a hundred UK quids." Is it
common to say "quids" for the plural? I had thought it would be "a
hundred quid."
