You can go to Installed Updates window at Windows Update and search for
specific update in search field at upper-right corner.

Hello,
I am looking at a way to search a specific KBxxxxxx in the installed
history
in my Windows 8.1, as it is a very long list...
Thanks in advance...

That doesn't seem to work on my machine :-(
I use Search Everything and it finds the installation "packages" for any
installed update. Opening "This PC" in desktop view and entering the KB
number in the search box returns the same results.

What are you doing?

The instructions by Lars work on Win 8.1. Have you done some
configuring that you've forgotten about?

Control Panel/Programs and Features/View installed updates/ then type
in the KBxxxxxxx in the search box in the upper right corner (the box
titled Search Installed Updates)

Compared to the other suggestions, just eye-balling the list (not
_that_ long a list) would be quicker.

Y'all can talk to Lars about the ****ed up quoting and top posting.

And Homer gets a +.

That way it DOES work. I was searching from Control Panel Windows Update
View Update History. From there, search doesn't find anything. I wasn't even
thinking of Programs and Features.
