Default OT Replacement HDD for DVDR

My DVDR, a Philips DVDR3575H, was designed around a 160GB PATA drive.

When the drive fails, what are the odds I can replace it with a larger
drive? How much larger? ;-)

What are the odds I can use a SATA drive intead of PATA? (Sillly
question, since they still sell PATA drives, but silly is my middle
name.)

Nothing I've found says whether it's a 3.5" or 2. 5" drive. It's 13
years old. What are the odds it's 2.5"? Is there any chance it's
2.5"? (It's a lot of work to get it off the shelf and open it up
to look.)

(Please don't try to sell me some other method of recording TV. This is
what I want and I'm not changing.)
