Default OLE in compiled help files?

I collect bits and pieces of info from here and there and put them in
appropriately named folders. That works for a while but pretty soon there
are a lot of folders and it becomes difficult to find things.

I'm thinking of making a compiled help file for them. That could work out
well for the bits and pieces but I also have various files - spreadsheets,
mostly - that I would like to include. I could just link to them in the
..chm file but I'd rather embed them via OLE so that any changes made to the
underlying file would also show up in the .chm file.

I've made .hlp files but never .chm. Does anyone know if .chm supports OLE?
My browsing hasn't turned up an answer.

Thanks.
